I'm not sure if laws can be written to prevent forest fires, but maybe they can be written to outlaw behaviors leading to forest fires. My concern is this: to what extent is this a result of climate change? And what kinds of laws can be passed to curb the results of climate change?
ReplyDeleteI definitely think residents should be cautious about these wildfires, considering all the damage it can do to anything in its path. If I was a resident in California I would hold others and myself accountable for any actions that could lead to a wildfire. I think there should be strict laws against anyone that intentionally starts a wildfire, and a serious fine for anyone that unintentionally starts a wildfire to make campers or residents extra cautious.
